Paradigmi d’evidenza. Sguardi forensi sulla postfotografia

Abstract

Drawing on Carlo Ginzburg’s evidential paradigm, this article rethinks photographic truth in the postphotographic age, when synthetic images and algorithmic workflows erode the medium’s traditional claim to objectivity. Focusing on contemporary forensic practices (OSINT and Forensic Architecture), it analyses frame matching: the calibration of photographs within 3D reconstructions through camera resectioning and geometric verification. The paper argues that evidential value no longer lies in the isolated image-as-mirror, but is produced operationally through data assemblages, protocols and reversible measurements that make claims testable and contestable.
