Il teatro di ricerca contemporaneo italiano come laboratorio di sperimentazione del ‘fotografico’
Abstract
The use of photography in dramaturgy, often considered as an epiphenomenon in the composite framework of medial theatre, can be seen instead as the precipitate of a modern culture based on images, which have transformed the performing arts on an aesthetic and epistemological level. This paper analyzes the panorama of Italian experimental theatre of the last four decades and specifically the realm of the socalled “Photographic Theatre”, in which a number of practices are put to work in a general process of photographic homoiosis.
