“Giocatori divergenti”: strategie fotografiche per il New Climatic Regime

Andrea Botto (Independent scholar), Laura Cantarella (Independent scholar)

Abstract

The pace of transformation related to climate change is today an unavoidable issue that places the environment at the center of photographic practices. The aim of this essay is to survey and conceptualize a new area of photographic research characterized by the shift from the notion of ‘landscape’ – implying a unique, anthropocentric point of view – to that of ‘environment’ – suggesting a multiplicity of viewpoints, strategies, and “divergent players” that have become crucial for the understanding of the New Climatic Regime.
